Resources on Current Legislation

Being able to track bills (and people) as they move through Congress and are amended is important to our being able to understand, speak and respond to current legislation. While it isn’t light reading, you should check out H.R.3200, America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009. This piece of legislation represents a monster of Federal bureaucracy and the end of private health insurance. The larger issue is that it creates a system of medical care where life and death decisions are based on economics and society as a whole, not what is morally and ethically right for the individual patient.
